In our school, we believe that children become better scientists through investigation, which stimulates and excites children to develop a love for the subject. We adopt a cross-curricular approach to our Science learning and use a topic theme to create links, provide a rich context and to ‘hook’ the children into their learning. All aspects of the new Primary Science Curriculum 2014 are covered through a two yearly cycle ensuring children experience the three scientific disciplines of life & living processes (biology), materials (chemistry) and physical processes (physics). The children are taught a wide range of scientific vocabulary and encouraged to explore their theories and predictions, recording them in a variety of ways.
